About Corangamite Shire:
Located in the picturesque Corangamite Shire, just two hours southwest of Melbourne, our organisation spans approximately 4,600 square kilometres of stunning landscapes. From the breathtaking limestone cliffs at Port Campbell and Princetown to the historic town of Skipton near Ballarat, our region offers a rich tapestry of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Our eastern boundary is embraced by the pristine shores of Lake Corangamite, a vast inland lake nestled just north of the Stony Rises, while our reach extends westward to Terang. The name 'Corangamite' derives from the local Aboriginal word for 'bitter' or 'saltwater,' reflecting the distinctive high salt level of the lake's water, typically three times that of seawater.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Coordinator to join our team in Camperdown in a permanent full-time role.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
This position oversees our Council's asset management, ensuring accurate data for long-term planning and integration across our council. As our Asset Coordinator, you will manage a diverse range of council assets that include roads, bridges, properties, vehicles, and more. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of our assets, as well as maintaining our financial asset register with pool cars available at site.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and close-knit team, working alongside our Asset Support Officer and Asset Field Officer, and you will provide holistic management across the entire lifecycle of the asset.
While you won’t be responsible for the maintenance of these assets, there may be times when you need to do some travel during the work day to visit some of these assets.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
As our Asset Coordinator, you will be a team-oriented individual with expertise in developing, analysing, and implementing strategic asset solutions. Experience with asset management systems, predictive modelling, and GIS is important in this role.
You will have:
- Experience in a similar asset management role;
- Comprehension of accounting standards for managing assets, including financial modelling, scenario modelling, and depreciation calculations;
- Understanding of asset lives and renewal costs;
- Expertise in computer-based asset data systems;
- Strong analytical skills for creating policies, procedures, and reports;

- An RDO every month
